I’m Bananas Over You

In old Argentina, when the tango was at its height, a bartender in a club fell in love with a beautiful tango dancer. Her perfume was blowin’ in the wind. He didn’t know how to approach her. Then one day he whipped up a wonderful Banana Cocktail with a touch of Coconut. He was so happy.
He went to her table and told her “I’m Bananas Over You” and gave her the cocktail. She immediately fell in love with the bartender and the two of them lived to a ripe old age sipping I’m Bananas Over You”.

Botticelli Cappuccino

In Italy, making espresso coffee is a national pastime. A gifted Italian barista became fascinated by Cappuccino.  He dedicated himself to making an absolute perfect Cappuccino based on an old Italian recipe. By slowly roasting special coffee beans imported from an estate in the central mountains of Manizales in Colombia, he managed to extract the flavor of the coffee without the acidity and bitterness normally found in coffee.  Then he added a soupcon of milk from select farms and a rich blend of brandy and fine spirits. He accomplished his mission. Delizioso!

A Local Caribbean band played a laid-back melody they called  “I’m Coconuts Over You”. The club bartender loved it.  He decided to make a drink which would go with music. Starting with extra fine aged Rum from Barbados, he added all natural coconut.
Soon everyone in the club went wild. Hearing the band play and drinking “I’m Coconuts Over You”.

Cosmo

A bartender in an upscale private club in Metro, New York impressed his cosmopolitan clients with a special combination of Premium Vodka, pure cranberry juice and a touch of orange
all shaken well with ice and served in a martini glass.
Appropriately, he called it a Cosmo, “short” for Cosmopolitan.

Horchata

Years ago, in Tijuana, Mexico a baker and a bartender were close friends.  The bartender (who was famous for his big friendly mustache) was intrigued by the cinnamon the baker was using.
He added a small quantity of this cinnamon to a Rum and Cream creation he was making.  The result was wonderful. The bartender exclaimed Horchata!  Which communicates FANTASTIC!!

Before Castro controlled Cuba, international travelers frequented the famous La Bodeguita bar, (a favorite bar of Ernest Hemingway). They smoked incredible Cuban cigars and enjoyed the bars favorite creation: Special Cuban Rum perfectly blended with mint leaves, a squeeze of limes, a touch of syrup, packed in a tall glass filled with ice and a sprig of mint leaves.
